Maryville College is a private four-year liberal arts college in Maryville, which is a city in the US state of Tennessee, serving as the county seat of Blount County, with more than 27 000 people, living within its limits, at the time of the 2010 census.
The college was established in 1819 and was founded by Presbyterian minister Isaac L. Anderson. It is one of the fifty oldest colleges in the United States and the twelfth oldest institution in the South, and maintains an affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
At Maryville, `more than sixty, diverse fields of study are offered, with pre-professional programs such as pre-med, pre-law, business, pre-seminary, pre-dentistry, and pre-vet.
